Summer time!

Hello all!
Another fortnight has flown by and it's the turn of the PINK DT over at Eclectic Ellapu to host the challenge and this time the theme is Summer Sunshine.  Hopefully you are actually getting some sunshine where you are - it's a bit of a mixed bag here in New Jersey with some lovely hot days and plenty of thunderstorms thrown in!

I've been dipping my toe back in the scrapbooking waters lately as I've got so many hundreds of photos I want to scrap with that I've just got to get a move on!  Anyway, this one is a photo of one of my nieces from a couple of years ago when she was 3 years old.  We went for a Teddy Bears' picnic; the first time she had been on a picnic and she was very excited about it all.  We did take along a couple of teddy bears as obviously you have to when it's a Teddy Bears' picnic.  This is her showing off her melon smile :)

I used several different patterned papers, a few chipboard sentiments and some punched out butterflies.  I always add the journalling after I photograph the page as it's personal to me.

I would like to enter this into the challenges at Creative CornerCreatalicious , Crafty Calendar , Craft Lovin' , Bearly Mine and Paula Holifield crafts.

Thanks so much for popping in :)

I want to ride my bicycle.......

Hello all!
Just adding in a quick post to highlight one of the new digital stamps available in my Etsy shop and remember that you can get 30% off all digis over $2.00 if you use the coupon code LPSCRAPS30.
I've been digitally tidying up some vintage images from an old catalogue to use as digital stamps - I won't bore you with the details of how to do this as it is mind-numbingly dull!!  Still, I have got some good results so have decided to add a few vintage digi stamps to my shop.  The good thing about these type of images is that you don't need to colour them which makes for super speedy card creating!

For my card, I used the Vintage Bicycle image and added some digital  font elements for a collage feel background.  I then double mounted the image onto cardstock, added some scrabble tiles and buttons for interest and some washi tape and patterned cardstock finished it off.
The perfect quick and easy male card!!

I would like to enter this into the challenges at Simon Says Stamp and Show , Simon Says Stamp , Art Impressions , DL Art , JellyPark  . QKR Stampede and Stamping with Dragon .

Thanks so much for stopping by :)

Bloglovin'

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Just doing the bloglovin' thing - not sure if I need to but hey, at least it's done then!

Some scholarly appreciation.

Hello all!
Fabulous Friday is here once again and so begins a new challenge at The Outlawz for the alcohol markers DT.  Now for those of you who are not familiar with alcohol markers, there are a number of different brands out there, all of which contain alcohol-based dye ink which have special properties: they allow you blend colours together without tearing up your paper as you might with a water-based ink.  I have only ever used Copics as I like the fact that they are refillable - I would love to hear anyone's thoughts on any other brands.
So, not a DT that drinks alcohol whilst colouring - well, I'm not admitting to anything anyway!

The theme this week is Graduation/school's out but I did go the other way with mine and did a 'back to school' card.  We're a very flexible group when it comes down to it - all we insist upon is that you use alcohol markers and then you can interpret the theme in your own way :)
For my card I used a digi from Make It Crafty and some inspiration from this very creative lady - Alice's Little Wonderland .  You can see some wonderful colouring and some gorgeous CAS cards here so it's well worth a visit!

I would like to enter this into the challenges at My Heart Pieces , Through the Craftroom Door , Addicted to Stamps and More , Penny's Paper Crafty , Charisma Cardz and Bearly Mine.

Thanks so much for stopping by !

Squeezing in a CAS one again!

Hello all!
Just wanted to squeeze a quick posting in for a card that came together nice and quickly :)  I used a 'real' stamp for this one from Stamping Bella - this one is 'Uptown Girls Pattie and Dottie Friends forever'.  I used my Copics to colour and kept the simple, yet bright colour scheme to a minimum by using the same colours to mat the image.  That's pretty much it!

I would like to enter this in the challenges at 613 Avenue Create , Paper Playtime , Without Words , ABC challenge , Through the Craft Room door and Colour me Creative.

Thanks for stopping by and I'd also like to let you know that my digital stamps are now available for instant download from my Etsy shop.  Plus if you use the code LPSCRAPS30, you get 30% off all digis over $2.00!

That's what little boys are made of.....

Hello all!
I'm back with my second posting of the day and this one is for the current challenge over at The Octopode Factory which this week is all about the boys - just in time for Father's Day.  I chose to make my own background by randomly printing the words "slugs and snails and puppy dog tails" in a variety of texts and adding a few grungy digital brushes for interest, using Adobe Photoshop Elements. I then printed the Octopode digi The Kid over the top of the text, coloured him with my Copics and added some grunge with ink splats and smudging around the edges, tearing a couple of the corners as well.

I would like to enter this on to the challenges at Copic Marker Europe , Milk, Coffee , Paper Crafting JourneyCrafty Creations and Simon Says Stamp.

We all scream for ice cream.

Hello all!
Friday once again and a new challenge starts at The Outlawz alcohol markers DT and today the theme is "Ice Cream".  I have to admit that this is definitely one of my guilty pleasures :)  I love, love, love it all - the Mr Whippy soft serve you get from the ice cream vans (always with a Cadbury's Flake!), the gorgeous smooth sophisticated Haagen Dazs flavours, the yummy Arctic Roll (for those of you from the UK, do you remember those?) and anything and everything in between!
Anyway, now I've got that off my chest, on to the project.  I've been meaning to start scrapping again for ages now so I jumped back in with this layout, using my Copics to colour in the embellishments.  The ice cream digi is from The Octopode Factory and I also coloured the chipboard heart, the letters and the ticket.

The little cutie is on of my nieces enjoying her ice cream cornet :)

I would like to enter this into the challenges at C.R.A.F.T , Craftroom challenge , Crafting by Designs , In the Pink  .

Thanks for stopping by today!
