A new medium

So I thought I would step away from the Copics for once and try something different - my order arrived from Can You Digi It  yesterday and I couldn't wait to open it and play with my new Faber Castell Gelato pens/sticks/paint (not really sure what to call them.  Anyway after watching a few instructional videos on YouTube, I dove straight in :)  I'm pretty pleased with the result but I think I misted them with too much water as the stamping was a bit blurry in places.  Still the result looked a bit 'watercolour-ish' which I kind of liked so not too bad for a first attempt.  I think I would probably do this on watercolour paper next time as the cardstock did buckle just a little bit.

I did the sentiment on Adobe PSE 10 with different layers for each font and word - a bit time consuming but that's the only way I know how to do it!  If anyone has a quicker way, please do clue me in!

I would like to enter this into the following challenges -
http://frillyandfunkie.blogspot.com/ - take your word for it

Thanks so much for stopping by - I hope the weekend is not going too fast for you!

This is stunningly simple but oh so beautiful. It does help that it's in my favourite colour scheme, lol, but all the elements come together so beautifully and yes, it does have a kind of watercolour effect. Gorgeous x

Wow, what gorgeous colors - so bright and rich and the palette is so pleasing to my eye. You did a wonderful job with the gelatos and I am super impressed with the sentiment you created with PSE. I usually just change the font from word to word, but I like how creating layers allowed you to strategically position some of the words - very cool and now I'm inspired!

So happy to have you joining in the fun with us this week at Frilly and Funkie. Hope you will be a regular with us!

Hugs,
Linda
