In the Pink with Eclectic Ellapu!

Hello all!
It's the Pink DT's turn again for a challenge over at Eclectic Ellapu and this time we're asking you to follow a recipe.  Obviously its a craft recipe and the ingredients are - 1 x image, 2 x patterned papers, 3 x  embellishment (all the same thing, eg 3 flowers, 3 brads).  Easy enough right?

I'd love for you to go over and check out the rest of DT's fabulous work here - there's some fabulous creations to see.  For mine, I decided to use some small wooden blocks that I had hanging around in my stash.  I painted them with some white acryclic paint and then sanded the edges.  Using 2 different Christmas papers, I covered the faces of the cubes - I then printed off my Christmas tree word banner image (one of my own digis from LilyPink Designs at CYDI - here ) and coloured it with Copics and finished each block with 3 identical gems.

I must apologise for the poor quality of the photos but I am having some camera issues at present.  I do hope it isn't terminal as I love my Canon - it was a treat to myself some years ago and I really don't want to replace it just yet :(

I would like to put these in for the challenges at -

Thanks for stopping by :)

Oh, Dawn, I really love what you did with the recipe! I have some old blocks in my stash as well, and I just may have to CASE this idea. They'd make such a great decor item on the mantlepiece. I know just how you feel about your Canon. I used nothing but for many years and then had to finally replace it. I'm not as happy with the replacement but the budget at the time dictated something much below my precious Canon. Ah, well, saving up for another Canon soon. :-D

OMG, Dawn, I love this Xmas decoration! Great use of your recipe, and just so cute!
BTW, did you happen to accidentally change a setting on your Canon? That happened to me once and all the photos were horrid until I realized what I had done! LOL! :^)
