Love conquers all.

Hello all!
It's a lovely sunny day here and I just found out that my card,  here , for the Saturated Canary challenge was picked as one of the top 6 so I'm definitely doing a happy dance this morning :)  Have you seen the crazy good DT cards for their latest challenge?  Wow, those DTeamies have some amazing colouring skills!
Yesterday I said I would be back with some more cards done using my new digis - which will be available tomorrow at Can You Digi It so here I am with a sneak preview.

The first card is made with my 'Love Conquers All' digi and I wanted it to be CAS but very striking - it isn't often that I really love what I make but I do have to say that this is one of my favourite cards ever!! I love how graphic and bold it looks and to me it has a retro style that reminds me of old fashioned tattoos (that may sound a bit weird but I know what I mean).  The black starburst background was done with my Cameo and I used contact paper (from Silhouette - the stuff used to transfer vinyl to things),  to transfer it across as I needed to make sure that everything lined up perfectly.   The digi was coloured with Copics  - I may try it with Distress Inks next as I think it would look great in sepia tones as well.

I would like to enter this into the challenges at -

My second card - yep, two for the price of one today! - is also CAS but it has a softer feel to it.  I coloured the Airmail Love digi with my Copics and then popped it with foam squares above the three strips of different patterned cardstock, adding a coloured Tim Holtz ticket and a pearly heart pin for a touch of bling.

I would like to enter this into the challenges at -

Thanks for popping in and I hope you liked what you saw :)

You sure are on a roll Dawn - these are both wonderful. Not sure how you did the contact paper 'thingy' but the end result is fabulous. Fabulous colouring on both and I really like your design skills. Rock on ... Nicola x

Congrats on your win over at SC! Very well-deserved! Loving your new digis, too! Great designs with them! The star burst turned out great! You'll have to say more about how you did that with the contact paper!

Dawn - love the card you did for SC - it is beautiful (I must have missed it during my computer vacation). Your coloring is off the chain of course, but I know exactly what you mean about the coloring skills of those DT girls. They are amazing. I stopped even looking at that challenge because I want to buy every single image they used. I got brave and clicked on the link you provided here and now I want all those images. Impressive stuff. Your card was really well done - definitely tops.

Love the new header on your blog - you have my favorite card I have seen you do on it - the Teddy Bear love card.

This new image is wonderful. As soon as I figure out how to link this desktop to my printer, I am going to go visit CYDI? and get it (I may have to get a few SC images too - LOL). Hope your week has gone by wonderfully. Hugz!

Look at you go girl! Your Valentines Day stash is going to be awesome. I really like the, as you said, bold and graphic look of the first card. It just grabs you. The banner strips on the second card look amazing and I like that you colored the TH ticket. Fun Card. Hugs!

Congrats on winning!

Both cards are beyond fantastic. The top card is vintage, yet bold and definitely reminds me of tattoo art (check out Bombshell stamps if you like that look!).

The bottom card has a whimsical feel to it. I love the addition of the tickets and that pin!
