Another Friday, another challenge from The Outlawz Alcohol Markers DT and this week we are giving you a photo as inspiration.
The photo is looking across at the San Francisco skyline from Sausalito - I happen to know this because I took the photo :) Anyway, you can take inspiration from the colours, the sea, the flowers, the city view, basically anything.................just remember to use alcohol markers as that's what we're all about. We're being sponsored by the fantastic Make it Crafty this month so there's a very good reason to join in!
For my card I used the colours as a starting point but I thought you could also tie in the image with the San Francisco of olden times - saloon gals and the wild west, what do you think? I used Cheyenne from Kenny K downloads, coloured with Copics and fussy cut her, putting her on a background of smooshed blue and lavender Distress Inks, adding some washi tape and gems and a faded stamped text mat. The sentiment and the very lightly stamped flower seedheads are two of those bargain dollar stamps from Michaels - I'm really going to miss those stores when I move!!
Please take some time to check out the fabulous cards from the rest of the DT - you can find links to their blogs on the Design Team page, just click on the tab at the top. I would also like to apologise for my absenteeism from your blogs lately - I'm just so pushed for time at the minute as we only have 7 weeks until we move back to England and some of you are just so prolific at card-making, I find it very difficult to keep up!!
I would like to enter this into the challenges at MarkerPOP, Fan-tastic Tuesday, 4 Krafty Girlz, Paper Crafting Journey and Ruby's Rainbow.
Thanks for stopping by!

Great card with a sassy image, colored so very well.
I love the background you created for her!
The design is fabulous. I especially love that the Washi tape leads one's eye directly to that image!
Oh. And try not to stress too much. You're going home! You should be happy!
We can always send you care packages from Michael's and AC Moore, though there seems to be so many wonderful stamp shoppes in the UK right now!
Dawn, Fantastic! Love your background and your choice of colors. Also how you added the flower in the background turned out so creative. Amazing at your coloring, card turned out awesome with just the right touches.
