Another year begins (almost).

Hello all!
Well, we're almost at the end of 2013 and I'm convinced this year was a lot shorter then usual - how else can you explain the speed at which it shot by?  Anyway, we have our second to last challenge of the year over at The Outlawz Alcohol Markers DT and our theme is "Happy New Year".
We are being sponsored by Time for Tea Designs and we all chose to use the same image for our cards this week - "New Year's resolutions".  Please take a minute to check out the rest of the DT's work as we all have very different styles and it's interesting to see what we all created with the same image!
I fussy cut my Copic coloured image and placed her on a background that I had precut using my Cameo.  I cut the text from white cardstock and then used the negative space over a purple background - I know I could have cut purple letters and put them on white cardstock but I find it easier to do it this way as all the words are straight.  When it comes to sticking down individual letters I sometimes get a little crooked!   Some washi tape and a ticket from my stash, a simple flower and a stamped sentiment finished the card off.

I would like to enter this into the challenges at Through the Craftroom Door , Oozak , Colour Me Creative , Digi Galore

Thanks for popping in!

Colour challenge at The Outlawz

Hello all!
A very happy Friday 13th to you all !  We have a new challenge for you today over at The Outlawz Alcohol Markers DT and this week, we have a colour chart for you to use as inspiration.  Our sponsor for the month of December is Time for Tea Designs with a generous prize of 3 digital stamps being offered and so for my card I decided to use "Winter Socks" .
She's coloured with Copics and the card shape was cut with my Silhouette Cameo.  I then added a few embellishments along the bottom of the card to give it some balance and to tie in the colours.

I would like to add this to the challenges at -

Thanks so much for stopping by and please take a minute to check out the fabulous work from the DT over at The Outlawz.
