Christmas in July at The Outlawz

Hello all!
Hope you've all got that Friday feeling today?  Time for another challenge over at the Outlawz alcohol markers group and as it's the last Friday of the month, we're back with another Anything Goes theme with an option to make it festive and add another card to your Christmas card stash!  We'd love for you to come and join us and with a great prize up for grabs from Bombshell Stamps , there's no excuse not to!!  Just make sure that your entry is coloured with alcohol markers (any brand) and you're all set.
For my card, I used a Simply Betty digi, coloured with Copics and added a few Silhouette Cameo cut flourishes and the dotted background.   Some snowflake brads, a few gems and a piece of ribbon and the card is done.

I would like to enter this into the challenges at Crafty Ribbons, Crafting by Designs, Sweet Stampin' Christmas,  DL Art,  and Crimbo Crackers.

Thanks for stopping by to take a look!

Anything goes.........

Hello all!
So the last Friday of February is here already - I know it's a short month but wow, it really flew by!!  Anyway the last Friday of a month means an 'Anything Goes' challenge over at The Outlawz Copics/alcohol markers group and this year we're adding the option to do a Christmas creation ( gives you a chance to get ahead on those festive cards!)
I'm going with the Christmas theme as I need to get organised in advance and for this card I used a Simply Betty digi - there are some very cute images in that store :).  Not much else to add as the card is fairly simple -in fact, I'm thinking it's a bit bland...........  not sure where I was going with this one.  I'm definitely on a CAS kick at the moment but I think I prefer it when I have a plain white background instead of patterned paper.  I love seeing other's perfectly loaded cards with all the bells and whistles but I find it very difficult to pull those off.  I'm not trying to be a tortured artistic soul but I'm thinking that I need to create what makes me happy and not what I end up feeling 'blah' about - ok, enough of the waffling, here's the card -

I do like red and green together on Christmas cards but I chose to go with a pale green which makes it a touch more contemporary.   I would like to enter this into the challenges at Milk Coffee , abc christmas , Inky Impressions , The Paper Shelter and Flourishes.

Don't forget to head on over to The Outlawz to check out the rest of the DT's fabulous work and if you play along with us, you get the chance to win a fantastic prize - a $15 gift certificate to Mo's Digital Pencil !

Thanks for popping in :)

Care for a bite?

Hello all!
Hope the sun is shining where you are today. I'm back with a new card for a new day and although it's still summer here (yay!), there's a Halloween feel to my card..........  I am trying to ignore the fact that summer is coming to an end as I'm really not a winter person!  Having been born in Cyprus, I think I was imprinted with the need to feel the warmth of the sun, even if it was only for the first 6 months of my life!  That's my excuse anyway - I just do not like the cold :(

So, on to the card which is done using a Simply Betty digi called Vampiress Tilly.  I kept it fairly simple again as I find that a whole lot easier and quicker - I don't mind spending time on colouring the digis but I do not enjoy spending hours trying to put the whole card together!  For the cobwebs, I inked through a Tim Holtz mask, the spider is just a black brad and I drew the legs and the sentiments were done using my Dymo labeller -

You have to admit, she's a very cute and sassy vampiress!  I would like to enter this into the challenges at http://jacksonsdigitalexpressions.blogspot.ca/, http://lollipopcrafts.blogspot.com/, http://madformarkerschallenges.blogspot.com/ and http://simonsaysstampandshow.blogspot.com/ .

Thanks for stopping by :)
