Toujours l'amour.................

Hello all!
I hope your weekend has been a good one?  We've got sunshine today so as long as you don't have to go outside in the 'freeze your butt off' temperatures, then it's all good!

I'm in the rare position of being all caught up on my DT projects so have done a card just for fun today - not that it isn't fun doing the DT stuff but I'm not someone who likes to work under the pressure of time.  I'm sure many of you agree?  Anyhoo I have a ton of paper scraps to sort out before they overtake the whole room and so in the spirit of using some of them, I did a bit of paper weaving.  It hasn't made any noticeable dent in the scrap paper pile if I'm honest but at least I'm heading in the right direction!

No prizes for guessing the heart shape was done using my Cameo!  The sentiment was printed before I cut the heart and the chipboard letters were painted, Glossy Accent-ed and glittered.  The paper weaving is such a good way of using up those thin strips of designer paper that are too nice to be thrown away.

I would like to enter this into the challenges at Creative Inspirations Paint, GingerLoft , Scrapper's Delight , Delicious Doodles and Addicted to CAS .

Thanks for popping in :)

Lol, I know what you mean about the scraps! They are like bunnies. It seems when you put them together for storage, they multiply. Btw, fabulous card! Love the way you placed the woven piece behind the heart cutout.

Great idea Dawn. We all have too much paper scraps and this is a wonderful way to put them to use. I love that heart, especially, because it reminds me of a quilt and I am a quilter. I'm definitely going to put this on my do do list.

I must do this technique - the number of scraps I have is embarrassing, but the papers are too gorgeous to just throw out! Your card is so beautiful, Dawn, and I love lettering too!

That is paper weaving? How cool. What a great way to use up leftovers. I keep all the tiniest scraps bec. I never know what I might need them for. I'll have to keep this idea somewhere in the back of my mind now. Thanks for sharing.
