Descended from Vikings!

Hello all!
I'd like to say a quick thanks to those fabulous die hard bloggy friends who have still been visiting my sadly neglected blog.  I just don't seem to have the same enthusiasm for blogging as I used to........I think I'm suffering from some kind of crafting obsession as I'm flitting from one crafty hobby to another on a daily basis!!  I get bored easily and as much as I still love colouring, there's a ton of other stuff out there that I love to do.  Anyway, I'm rambling so let me quickly move on to today's post.

Friday means another great challenge over at The Outlawz Alcohol markers DT and this week, we're asking you to join us in a trip around the world - wouldn't that be great???  Maybe I need to go and buy that winning lottery ticket!
So for my project, I decided to create a scrapbook layout as I'm pitifully behind with scrapping my many, many photos.  The digi is from Saturated Canary and she's called Vicky the Viking - I have a strong sense of pride about this image as she was one of the ideas picked for some new digis in a competition held by Krista a while ago and she was my idea!!
I used the print and cut option for the digi on my Silhouette Cameo and then coloured her in with my Copics.  The photos are of my gorgeous niece (I was recently in England again visiting them) and I was trying to get some pretty, girly shots of her in my mum's garden.  She wasn't co-operating though ( how many 2 1/2 year olds do?) and was determined to do her own thing.  Maybe that strong spirit of hers comes down through the generations as when I was researching our family tree, I was fortunate enough to discover a line that could be traced all the way back to Norsemen, or the Vikings.  People, we're talking back to 900 AD  - how cool is that?  Anyway that was my thinking behind this layout  -

I would like to enter this into the challenges at -  4 Krafty Girlz , Saturated Canary , Baffies , Creative Moments , Divas by Design and Penny's Paper Crafting.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

First of all, your niece is just precious! What a cutie pie! :^) And your scrapbook LO is wonderful--it really highlights her! Love the colors & accents you chose. And I also love your coloring of that darling SC image--imagine, you were the inspiration for her--how cool is that?
(I have a bit of Danish in my background and Gary has quite a bit of Norwegian in his. Of course, we are really just American mutts. Melting pot and all, doncha know.)
Hugs, Penny

Your niece is precious and sweet. I love your beautiful scrapbook page. I think it is so important to save these darling photos by scrapbooking them. It is one of my favorite things to do. The SC image is so cute and love how you used her on this page.
