Fit for a princess!

Hello all!
Back with my regular Friday posting for the Alcohol Markers challenge over at The Outlawz and in keeping with the season and to celebrate Pumpkin Toss Day (yes, there's a day for everything now folks!),  we're asking for a pumpkin to be included in your project.   It doesn't have to be the main feature but just make sure you've got one in there somewhere and that you use alcohol markers to colour in your creation.

I decided to use a Saturated Canary image and to fit in with the current SC challenge , I altered an old gift box into a Princess treasure chest!  I had to keep it simple as this is going to be for my youngest niece and as she's not yet 3, I didn't think it would be a good idea to add too much frou-frou.  I mod-podged a couple of layers of designer paper on to the sides and lid and patiently waited a day for those to dry.   I then added the Copics coloured Cinders and some punched out butterflies with sparkly gem trails on to the lid, all sealed with more Mod Podge and finished the lid off with some pink polka dot ribbon.  The box part has an added pink woodcut 'Princess' glued to one side (it was either from Walmart or Michaels.....) with a pretty pink pearl to dot the 'i'.  The inside of the box was prettied up with pink cardstock, also mod-podged well to give it some protection.

Here's a close up of Cinders -

As well as the Saturated Canary challenge , I would like to enter this into the challenges at 4 Krafty Girlz, An Inky Situation, Charisma Cardz, Crafty Ribbons, Simon Says Wednesday and Twisted Tuesday.

Thanks for stopping by today and hope you have a great weekend!

Love the new look of the blog! It totally reflects you girlie. I just love your work, you've coloured this gorgeous image beautifully and presented perfectly. I like that you gave her red hair as it ties it with the orange of the pumpkin which might otherwise clashed with the pinks and blues. Well done!
Tally-ho, have a great weekend ;)S
