So, as it is Friday it must be another fantastic Copics/Promarkers challenge over at The Outlawz and this week we're looking for projects inspired by a movie, song or book - plenty of scope there :)
For my card I used a digi from The Octopode Factory - I'm very happy to be doing a Guest Design spot over at the challenge site TOFF where the theme this week is "Fancy Dress". I just love the Pirates of the Caribbean films (and Johnny Depp!!) and you have to admit, he's a pretty fancy pirate so I had to get this image. I coloured him with my trusty Copics and made the background by printing a basic clipart map, adding one of Captain Jack's speeches and heavily distressing the edges. I then went to town on it with Distress Stains, various inks, rub-ons, brads and a metal key. I will admit to being pretty pleased with the end result and I do love doing the messy stuff!

Love your background on this fantastic card Dawn. Wish I could do the messy stuff, I'm not very good at it :( I'm going to start practising and see if I can master some of these techniques! He really does look like Johnny Depp lol :)
