I'm feeling very patriotic as it's very nearly the Diamond Jubilee in the UK - what an amazing achievement, 60 years on the throne! Queen Elizabeth II is the second longest reigning monarch in England and the longest reign was also from a female - good old Queen Victoria. Girl power :)
Anyway history lesson over, my card today is done using one of my own new digis, available from Can You Digi It? . I've been inspired by the smash scrapping/journalling that is all over the web at the minute and I wanted to come up with something that could be used on cards as well as in smash books and scrapbooks - hopefully these fit the bill. I came up with 3 digis, one each for the cities of London, New York and Paris.
I used the London digi and just added a touch of colour with Copics - the background was done by splattering circles with the sponge tops of Distress Stains and adding a few random stamps in black.
I would like to enter this into the following challenges -
http://sirstampalotchallenge.blogspot.com/ - medals and monarchs
http://simonsaysstampandshow.blogspot.com/ - one for the boys
http://onestitchatatimechallenge.blogspot.com/ - red, white and blue
Here's a sneak preview of the digi's -
Will be in the CYDI shop very soon :)
Thanks for popping in to take a look.

Hi Dawn! Your very British card is wonderful! I love the images and the way you've colorized them. Really cool background with the red and blue splotches of color! Those look amazing! Thanks for joining us at Simon Says Stamp and Show. <3 Candy
Hey, those new images look great! You did an awesome job designing them!
Fab new images, Dawn! Love the card you made!
Can't wait for the two that you showed us after the London digi. I love your cards. Great design. I need the one from France as my SIL is from France and can use that one for sure. Give us a reminder when they are in the shop.
What a fabulous card!
Thanks for joining the 'red, white and blue' challenge at One Stitch at a Time, and good luck!
Oh, Dawn, your new images are very cool! Love what you did with the London one! And, as long as I can remember there has been a Queen Elizabeth. (I am almost 63 and cannot remember much before the age of 5!) Girl-power, indeed! :^)
Hugs,
Penny

Oooh. I love it and also love the NY one!
I really admire Queen Elizabeth. She's amazing and still going strong at her age. What an achievement!
Fabulous new images and great card design. That is so cool that the longest reigning English monarchs have both been women. Queen Elizabeth must be in her 80s now, is she? She made a trip to Canada just a few years ago with Prince Phillip. Pretty impressive for a lady of her age.
Thanks for commenting on my Silver Wedding blog post and the video of Christian the Lion. That brought tears to my eyes too. Anyone that thinks animals are not capable of love is very mistaken.
Blessing hugs,
Teresa
Another awesome background Dawn! I'm slowly building my Distress Stain collection and you're giving me some great ideas on how to use them. Hugs and thanks!
Great London collage, fab background.
