Sandy sucks!

Just a quick posting to say we have now had power and cable services restored to us having been without since Monday evening - courtesy of Sandy of course!  We were very lucky and didn't have any damage to our house.  The neighbourhood is slowly being cleared up and groceries are arriving back on the store shelves.  This was our first experience of a hurricane and I can't say I'm in a hurry to meet another one!  Although New Jersey has only been our home for 3 years, it has been dreadful seeing all the terrible devastation in places we have enjoyed visiting and I cannot begin to imagine how those poor people, who have lost everything, are feeling.
Thanks for all the messages of concern we have received - we are fine and extremely grateful :)

I didn't realise you were in the hurricane area Dawn! So happy to hear you came through it okay, with no damage to your home. Not something I'd want to experience...hope it's your one and only taste of a hurricane!
Hugs xx
PS Your circle card is very cute :)

I'm glad you made it through Sandy ok! It sure is a mess all over the area!
I've lived in NJ all my life (I still deny that I don't actually live in NJ anymore) and never have I seen anything like this. The devastation on the coast and areas inland is heartbreaking. Hopefully it is another life time before something like this comes our way again!

So glad to hear you're doing well Dawn. Yep, I can guarantee you that they are not fun. It is just not possible to understand their devastation unless you go through one (or LOTS), but I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Hugs!
