I'd give up cupcakes but I'm no quitter!

Hello all!
Back with my usual Friday posting for the Alcohol Markers DT over at The Outlawz and this week our theme is 'Something Sweet'.   You can interpret this theme however you choose but you must, must, must use alcohol markers as the main medium for your card as that's just the kind of group we are!!
This month we are fortunate to be sponsored by Elisabeth Bell , the digital collection and the lucky, random winner for March will receive 2 digis, which you can preview on our challenge page.

I've been sorting out the hoarder's delight that is my craft room this week, in preparation for our big move and I think I may have packed up my mojo as I really struggled to come up with anything I liked!  Do you ever get like that with a card?  I can't put my finger on it - it's a perfectly nice card but I'm just a bit 'meh' about it.......  The fab digi is from Bugaboo, coloured with Copics and I used my Cameo to cut the mats, adding a stamped sentiment, a chipboard heart and some gems.

Entering this into the challenges at Addicted to Stamps and More ,  Aud Sentiments ,  C.R.A.F.T ,  Creative Knockouts ,  Crafty Creations and Through the Craftroom Door.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Please do take some time to check out the fabulous creations from my team-mates - Linda , Penny , Kathi and Carla .

Festive Friday countdown to Christmas.

Hello all!
So if you've been joining in with our monthly optional twist over at The Outlawz Alcohol Markers DT then you should have 9 gorgeous Christmas cards already done!  If you haven't, then with only 60 days left until the actual day, perhaps it's time to begin???  I'm just saying........

For this week's card I used a digi from Bugaboo , coloured with Copics and put onto a simple co-ordinated background of traditional red and green.  I added a few gems to the twinkling stars but you can't see them that well in the photos.

I would like to enter this into the challenges at Aud Sentiments , My Heart Pieces , LadyBugs Crafts Ink , Papertake Weekly and Through the Craft Room Door.

Please go and check out the fabulous work from the rest of the DT over at The Outlawz - you won't be disappointed.  Thanks for popping in and I hope to see you joining in with this one!

A belated Happy 4th July!

Hello all!
I hope this post finds you enjoying your Friday and to those of you Stateside, I hope you had a fabulous 4th!!  We've taken advantage of the long weekend and have headed out to upstate New York, hoping to avoid the thunderstorms.
It's time for another challenge over at The Outlawz alcohol markers DT and keeping in theme with the 4th, we're asking you to show us something related to picnics and barbecues - enjoying a culinary experience in the Great Outdoors!
I decided to use one of the very funny images from Bugaboo as it struck a chord with me - I can definitely see myself and a couple of good friends (no names will be mentioned), heading out for a "vinous picnic".  Enough said :)

Simply done (no surprises there) - I just cut a polaroid style frame from white cardstock with a computer printed sentiment, put that on a black card base and added a couple of bits of washi tape.

A short post but I'm not really here!  Hope your weekend is a good one :)

Friday fun at The Outlawz !!

Friday means a new challenge over at the copic/promarker group at The Outlawz and this week its all about Easter, chocolate and bunnies - you don't have to include all 3 but I did manage to find a really cute Bugaboo digi that did :)

I cut the card base using my Silhouette SD and coloured it with Copics as usual.  It's such a cute image and I do like the scallop edge to the egg shaped card.  The other DT members have come up with some some fabulous designs so why not wander over and check them out?
I can't believe that Easter is nearly here already!!!  We're still having unseasonably warm weather here in NJ which I don't mind at all.  It's so lovely to feel the warm sunshine when you're out and about.

I would like to enter this for the following challenges -

http://delightfulsketches.blogspot.com/ - Easter treats
http://www.thepixiecottage.blogspot.com/ - Easter/Spring
http://whimsyinspires.blogspot.com/ - anything goes

Thanks for taking the time to stop by - hope you have a wonderful weekend :)
