Easter/Spring challenge at The Outlawz

Hello all!
It doesn't seem that long ago that we were welcoming in the New Year and here we are coming up to Easter already!  With that in mind, we have an Easter/Spring challenge for you over at The Outlawz alcohol markers group.
For my card I used 'A day for daisies'  image, coloured with Copics - they have such pretty drawings over at ADFD - they remind me of illustrations from old-fashioned childrens' reading books.  Anyway, I limited the colour scheme of my card to pastel yellow, green and lilac and kept the layout CAS yet again.  The green frame was cut with my Cameo and my embellishments were scraps of paper, a double button with ribbon scraps and some pearls.

I would like to enter this into the challenges at -   The Paper ShelterSimon Says Stamp, Addicted to Stamps , Cute Card Thursday and Little Miss Muffet.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Waiting for Spring......

Hello all!
After yet another week of snow showers and cold temperatures, I am really in the mood for Spring - right now please!  It seems to be taking forever to get here and my warm week in Las Vegas feels like it was months, not weeks ago.  Still the advantage of not wanting to to go outside into the dreary cold is that it means plenty of indoor time for crafting!  Always a silver lining somewhere :)
I recently coloured up an image that I had been wanting to get to for a long time - the gorgeous "Pearls in my hair" from 'A day for daisies'.   I love the sketchy feel to their images and the DT always comes up with completely fabulous inspiration pieces too.  After I had coloured her, I decided to keep all the focus on the image and made a very CAS card by just matting the image and a printed sentiment and adding a few little sparkles on the side.

I would like to enter her into the challenges at A day for daisies,  QKR stampede,  4 crafty chicks,  Sparkles , Oozak and Addicted to CAS.

Thanks so much for stopping by :)

Floaty and floral....

Hello all!
It may be the 1st of October but my card today has a very summery feel to it - I'm still not ready to let summer go, not without a fight anyway!  The digi is from the wonderful "a day for daisies" - I just love the sketchy feel to these great images.  I used my Cameo for all of the die cuts and doubled up on the frames for the image with a scallop edged oval and an oval doily, lacing some thin lilac ribbon through the scallop oval.

A-moo-singly silly!

Hello all!
Back on the CAS wagon again and this time it's all the fault of the challenge at A day for daisies which is to use yellow and polka dots.  They have another great freebie over there so grab it while it's available plus there's always a ton of fabulous inspiration - I love looking at the all the gorgeous DT's creations :)

I know the sentiment is silly but that's all that came to mind at the time!

I would also like to put this card into the challenges at -
http://paperplaytime.blogspot.com/ - polka dots and a sentiment

Thanks for stopping by - hope your day is a-moo-sing!!

With a cherry on top.

Hello all!  Popping in with a quick posting on a card made primarily for the current A day for daisies challenge, which is to use fabric or fibres.  I wanted to keep the colours limited on this as I also wanted to put it in for the current TTCRD challenge as well -  use white plus two other colours.

The image was coloured with my trusty Copics and I happened to have a scrap of red gingham left over from some patchwork cushions I made, which was perfect to add to this card :)
I printed the sentiment myself so feel free to grab it here -

I would also like to enter this card into the following challenges -

Thanks for popping in and I hope you find the sentiment useful :)

Summer daydreams.

Hello all - hope your day is going well today?  We seem to have lost our sunshine here this week which makes me start thinking of how quickly summer passes - the start of the eighth month of 2012 already!  Anyway, this card reminds me of how lovely it is to sit and daydream on those perfect summer days with the sweet little image from A day for daisies and I'm putting it in for their current challenge (not a moment too soon as it ends not long from now!).
The challenge was to use script so I turned to my old Webster's Dictionary that I picked up out junking one weekend - so useful and it was only a couple of dollars!  I also made a rolled flower from some of the same page for a matching embellishment.

I do love the ADFD images but seem to have a real problem when it comes to colouring them - they are so gorgeously simple and yet I often make a real pigs ear of it!  This one came out pretty nice though - phew......

I would also like to enter it into the following -

Thanks for stopping to take a look :)
