Whooo's who.......

Hello all!
I'm back with yet another simple card - I am finding it so much easier to do very plain layouts as it stops me spending hours agonizing over which embellishments to add and where to place them!  I know some folks out there in blogland may think that my latest cards have been too plain, boring even but I really do feel more comfortable doing them this way.  That doesn't mean I won't do the 'Heinz 57' type again - I'm just in my CAS zone at the moment :)

This card is done with a digi from the wonderful MayzyArt with the current Anything Goes challenge over at the blog in mind.  Not much to say other than I coloured the image with Copics, trying to get a bit more depth to her face - one of these days I'll sign up for some Copics classes online and learn how to colour properly!  The sentiment is computer generated, added when I printed the digi.

K.I.S.S card

Hello all!
well, after yesterday's card of many bits, I'm back with something a bit more familiar to me.  Keep it simple silly (stupid seems a bit harsh!).  I would like to thank you for your comments and advice on this card - it's great to hear what other people think, especially if you've been obsessing over things!

Anyway, this card is definitely a K.I.S.S card and was done using my fabulous Silhouette Cameo - I do so love that machine :)  I'm also a fan of all the "Keep Calm" stuff and so decided to incorporate that into a Christmas card.  I used the actual Keep Calm font which I had downloaded from one of the many free font sites out there and made a bauble shape just by merging a circle and a small rounded corner rectangle.  The silver cardstock was backed with red to give it some punch and then I simply added a ribbon on the top - oh, nearly forgot the heat embossed edging of Stampendous white powder to give it a snow-kissed look!

The British are coming!!!

Hello all!
Hope you all had a great weekend, whatever you got up to.  We went to see some 'punkin chunkin' today - we're trying to do as much of the American experience as possible and sometimes the cheesier, weirder and odder, the better!
We had first seen this on the Discovery Channel and it basically involves a bunch of folk building a machine that will hurl a pumpkin as far as possible.  What more could you want from a gloriously sunny Fall afternoon?  It was pretty good and that's another check off the list :)

Anyway, on to the card.  After an American themed day, I have a British themed card (go figure!)  I have been doing some subway art canvas creations and had some vinyl lettering left over from using my Cameo.  With a neutral cardstock and the addition of a couple of stickers, I came up with a sort of subway art card - nice and simple and ideal for a guy card which always seems to be a harder thing to come up with.

How very jolly and rather super!

Sing like no-one's listening....dance like nobody's watching...

Hello all!
Back with another posting for the The Outlawz Friday alcohol markers group and this week, we're on a musical slant! -  create something with a theme of singing and/or dancing.  We're sponsored by the fantastic Kenny K for the month of September so come and join us for the chance to win some great digis!

I chose to use a digi from the wonderful Mayzy Art and actually made a card without using my Cameo!!  I know that may come as a shock to you but I can create without the wonder machine!!  I used my trusty Copics for colouring the image and kept the embellies very simple by using a strip of ribbon, a ticket sentiment, a paper flower, a few gems and some photo corners.

She really has got her groove on!!!

I would like to put this in for the following challenges -

Girly goodness

Good morning - hope you are all keeping well?  I'm beginning to think that June is going to be a 'bleh' month, weather-wise, just as May was.........  where has the sunshine gone?
Still, bad weather = more crafting time :)

This card is done using a Make it Crafty digi (Lizzie with gift) and I actually planned the colours for a challenge before I went ahead and coloured it!  Usually I colour the image and then try and find a challenge to fit it into - I'm not very organized when it comes to challenges!  Anyway this colour scheme was done for the Colour me creative 'pink and green' challenge and it also happens to fit in with the TTCRD distressing challenge,  (I distressed the edges of the cardstock layers) and the 'make it girly' challenge at Ooh la la creations .

Isn't she cute?
