      Time for another Friday colouring challenge over at The Outlawz and our theme this week is 'Picnic/BBQ' - basically eating al fresco.

    For my card this week, I used a Dude Time Doodles digi (not sure that they're still operating so please let me know if you are and I'll link up!).  I kept it CAS again as I do find it easier and just added a few scraps of paper and a Tom Holtz ticket.  I figured that Santa would have festive coloured beachwear so limited the colours to red and green.

It's time for another Friday challenge with  The Outlawz Alcohol Markers DT and this week, in preparation for the upcoming Holiday here in the USA, our theme is Thanksgiving or just general "Thanks" for those of you not participating in the holiday.
                I have to admit that we don't make a big fuss over Thanksgiving as we're a couple of transplanted English folk after all - we save the turkey until Christmas!  We do, however, enjoy the 4 day weekend that comes with the holiday and make a point of avoiding all retail outlets and having a relaxing time instead :)

       Anyway, enough of the cultural divide and on to this week's project.  I went for a tag this week as I thought it would come in useful for any last minute Thanksgiving gifts.  I used a digi from Dude Time Doodles and coloured the little scene with my trusty Copics.  The tag shape, scalloped frame, 'Thanks' word and the leaves were all cut with my Silhouette Cameo - I added colour to the leaves with Copics and then lightly spritzed them with water and crumples them to add texture.

Falling into the season.....

Hello all!
         Friday once more and that means another challenge over at The Outlawz with the Copics/Promarkers group.  As it is also the start of a new month of challenges, we have a new sponsor and for October we are being sponsored by the fabulous Make it Crafty with a great prize of an amazing e-book "Colouring Techniques with Markers"!!  Makes me wish I could enter it too!!

       Anyway the theme for the challenge this week is 'Fall Activities" - now this doesn't mean you are limited to Fall colours, even though a lot of the activities during Fall do seem to involve leaves, apples and pumpkins.  I managed to avoid all the usual colour suspects and went for the sport angle!  Although I am not a football fan myself, I understand that it can play quite a big part in the lives of some folks...........am I right?   I may not follow it but you can't escape it completely!!!

                                  I used a digi from Dude Time Doodles and 'mis-used' a sentiment that we normally associate with the Christmas season.  Kept it simple as it is a dude card after all!

Mermaid and robots???

That title sounds like a really bizarre combination but that's what this post is about!!!

I was contacted by another Etsy seller the other day with the offer of a free digi if I would make a card with it - well, how could I refuse???   I was even more pleased when I visited the shop here and saw the digis available :)
             I couldn't make up my mind so asked the artist to pick one for me and here she is -

I do hope I've done her justice - she was a real pleasure to colour and I'm thinking I may use her again for a spot of paper piecing on her tail.

A birthday bolt!

Had to do another posting today as I wanted to enter a card in the Tickled Pink challenge this week - sorry to hear that this challenge will be finishing at the end of this month :(
Anyway, here's my card using the digi Zeus Luca from the Lil Greek Gods range (so cute!). I used my Silhouette to cut the Greek column and the lightning bolts and the paper is from my stash of unknown bits!
