Feed me now!

Hello all!
Getting back to normal after nearly 3 weeks back in the UK with family - it always takes a couple of days to get my crafting head back on so fortunately I planned ahead for this challenge before I went.  If it's Friday then it must be time for a new challenge over at The Outlawz for the Copics/Promarkers DT and this week it's food/cooking.
I decided to do something a bit different from a card this time and came up with a little open box, decorated with a food related image - it could easily be used for a small gift but I used some spice sachets as a prop.  It should be noted that I was not compensated for using these named products!  I thought they worked well with the image which is from Just Inklined - it was a freebie and I don't think it is currently available but you can find a similar one here ,

Don't forget that we have a great sponsor for the month of April over at the Outlawz. This month, the Copic/ProMarker Challenges are being sponsored by Whimsy Stamps!  One randomly-selected participant in our April challenges will win 5 digi stamps of their choice from the Whimsy Stamps store!

I would like to enter this into the challenges at Delightful Challenges , Dutch Dare , Hanna and friends and Little Miss Muffet .

Thanks so much to Delightful Challenges for picking my card as a winner for last week's challenges!

Hope to get back up to speed with visiting your blogs very soon :)

Fab at 40!

Hello all!
Friday again and time for another challenge over at The Outlawz Copics/alcohol markers group.  This week we are asking you to celebrate a milestone birthday with us.  It can be any milestone number you like so the choice is wide - plenty of scope to come up with something!  Our prize this month is $15 to spend in the Etsy store of your choice so why not join in - you could be the lucky winner :)

For my card I chose to make one for my youngest sister's birthday (which has been and gone now so I'm safe to post this).  I can't tell you how old it makes me feel now that my youngest sister is 40!!  I think I dealt with my 40th better than I'm doing with this one.  Anyway, her favourite colour is purple/lilac so I decided to go with a monochrome palette and use one of my favourite digi companies, Teddy Bo .
I enlarged the image to make it fit almost the whole height of the 6x6 card and then coloured it with my Copics - I had added the "40" before I printed it.   I chalk-inked the edges and added a button to Teddy Bea's hat and matted the image layer onto a lilac layer before sticking to the main card front.

I would like to enter this into the challenges at -
and the linky party at Simply Create

Thanks for popping in and please do go and check out the rest of the DT's fabulous work here.

Cutting it fine!

Hello all!
Dashing in quickly to post this card for the current Kenny's Krafty Krew challenge which ends in less that 2 hours!!  Talk about leaving it until the last minute.........
At least I managed to get the card made fairly quickly (for me, anyhow) as this time around, the challenge is a sketch one.  So, I didn't waste hours going through hundreds of different layout ideas and then rejecting them all - my usual way of card designing!

No time to chatter, so here it is -

I used the digi "Devilish Donna" and in light of the name, coloured her with some hot pinks and gave her black hair.  The sketch gave me a chance to use up some scraps of paper for the background, with some ribbon and craft tape to add interest. The sentiment was done using the print and cut technique on my Cameo - I think the font is called Angelic War which seemed appropriate.

I would also like to enter her into the challenges at http://thepoodlesparlour.blogspot.com/ (winged things), http://inthepinkchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/ (things with wings) and http://littlemissmuffetchallenges.blogspot.com/ (pink).

Dive right in for that friday feeling!

Hello all!
I can't believe it's friday again - this week sure has flown past and it's another friday challenge over at The Outlawz and today we're splashing around with a water theme.  So much scope with this one and we have a great prize this month as we are being sponsored by guylous inimitability.

For my card, I chose to use a Mayzy Art mermaid -

The Cameo was used again for the die cut background pieces (love that scallop edged oval) and I dyed the seam binding with some Distress Ink and Perfect Pearls spray.  I will admit to not being 100% happy with the layout but I've been having a few off days craft-wise - sometimes I just can't put it all together in the way I want it to be!  Plus I've been struggling with some other projects that have not been going well and I think that's put me in the 'off' zone :(
Not to worry - I'll do some pinning to get some inspiration and come back to the projects after a few days.

Challenges -

Thanks for popping by - have a great friday!

What's your flavour?

Hello all!

Happy dance as I won the challenge over at http://teddybochallenge.blogspot.com/ !!!  What a nice way to start the day :)

The challenge over at Kenny K's krafty krew this week is to use the colours of your favourite ice cream - yum!  Mine happens to be a delicious combination of chocolate, strawberry and vanilla, also known as Neopolitan - well it is this week anyway!  I'm a bit of an ice-cream fan :)

I've stepped out of the CAS trend I was on for this one - I felt she deserved a bit of bling as she looks like she's ready to party........ coloured with Copics and added embellishments from my stash.

She was fun to colour but I was a bit intimidated by her hair - so much of it!

This is also going into the following challenges -

Thanks for stopping by to take a look - enjoy your day!

Up, up and away!

Back with my second post for today and this time is for the Copics/Promarkers group over at The Outlawz .  If any of you aren't familiar with this fantastic social site then it really is about time you headed over there and joined in the fun!  There's a different challenge every day and some fabulous prizes to be won every month.  This month, the Copics group are being sponsored by Mayzy Art and she has some wonderful digis she designs. well worth a visit!

Anyway, my card is done using a digi by Little Miss Muffet and he's called 'Birthday Bunny'.  I was aiming to get a translucent look to my balloons and I think it worked (hopefully!) and I wanted to keep the colour scheme very simple and muted.

I would like to enter him into the following challenges -

Thanks for popping in, especially if this is your second visit today :)
