A Christmas card and no fixed abode.

Hello all!
Just a quick posting with my card for the last challenge of the merry, merry month of May over at The Outlawz Alcohol Markers DT .   As usual, the end of month challenge is an Anything Goes theme with the option of Christmas if you so choose.
We're sponsored by Ditzie Digi Designs this month with a very generous 3 prizes on offer so plenty of reasons to join in.  For my card I used a Mo's Digital Pencil digi, coloured with Copics and my Silhouette Cameo cut out the frames and corners.

My posts will be short and sweet for the next few weeks as we're on the road!  We will be living out of suitcases in the states of New Jersey, New York, Montana, Nevada and Utah for our "Fab vacation before we return to England" until the end of June.  Internet access will be sporadic at times and I really want to enjoy our final fling over here in the States so I won't be doing much blog visiting and/or commenting - Sorry!  I'm sure you understand :)
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Give a girl the right shoes......

.......and she can conquer the world.

Hello all!
A quote from the beautiful Marilyn Monroe to start the day and also to link into our new challenge over at The Outlawz Alcohol Markers DT .  We are celebrating "National Put on your own shoes Day" - yep, it's a real thing!   As bizarre as it sounds, it gives us a great theme for this week's challenge - SHOES.

So for my card I used a very cute digi from Mo's Digital Pencil called 'Diva', coloured her with copics, added the computer printed quote (did this in Adobe PSE when I was printing the image in case anyone was wondering) and added a few paper pennants from my tiddly scraps box.  That's the box of ridiculously small scraps of paper that I can't bear to throw away - I know I'm not alone in this!
The small pair of shoes I cut using my Silhouette Cameo and added a couple of gems to bling them up and I finished off the card with some photo corners.  She's an independent little tyke, well that's how I choose to see her so I can enter her into the current "I is for...." challenge over at Mo's Digital Challenge blog.

I would also like to enter this into the challenges at Crafty Creations , Addicted to Stamps and More , Through the Craftroom Door , Papertake Weekly and The Crafty Bloggers.

Thanks so much for popping in - please take a minute to check out the rest of the DT's work over at The Outlawz , you won't be disappointed :)

Flying high!

Hello all!
Just popping in with a quick post for a card I made for the current challenge over at Mo's Challenge blog which is "F is for......."  - in this case, F is for flying.  Yet another CAS card, just a Copic coloured image, some inking, some sewing, some paper scraps and a printed sentiment,  Extra points will be awarded if you can tell me where the sentiment comes from...........

Also entering this into the challenges at Creative Card Crew , Through the Craftroom Door , Paper Make Up , Make my Monday and Simon Says Stamp and Show.

Thanks so much for popping in :)
PS - the sentiment comes from the Disney Pixar film "Up".

Festive Friday Fun!

Hello all!
No, I havn't lost the plot and yes, I do have a Christmas card for you today!  For our end of the month Anything Goes challenge at The Outlawz Copics group, we have decided to add a twist - make a Christmas card.  Now there's no excuse for that last minute panic as December approaches!
Just think, if you only do 1 festive card each month, you'll have at least 10 done by the time comes for you to start worrying about making them for next Christmas :)  So, check out the rest of the fab DT's work here and get your jingle bells on :)

For my card I used a Mo's Digital Pencil digi, coloured with Copics and some freebie papers I got with a magazine in England.  I highlighted the star and Christmas baubles with some Glossy Accents but it's a bit difficult to see.   My photos seem to have taken on a blue tinge lately and I'm not sure why.......  I do have a new camera - my Canon would have cost over $300 to have it looked at and the problem may not even have been fixed for that price so I figured it would make more sense to spend a bit more and get a new one - another Canon.  I think I need to spend some time playing with the manual settings.  Maybe I just need to be somewhere with some warm sunshine tones - that sounds like a better plan :)

I would like to enter this into the challenges at -

Thanks for popping in and have a wonderful weekend!

Just an old-fashioned girl....

So, already Wednesday is here - where does the time go??
My card today is a fairly clean style yet old-fashioned at the same time.  I love this digi, the very cute Sophie from Mo's digital pencil too and I close cropped it to just use the faces of Sophie and her old rag doll.  Also tried to keep to a brown, beige and cream palette as I wanted it to have a vintage feel.

The challenge over at Mo's is a bingo one, where you can choose which row to use and I went for the "gems, ribbon, flower" row  - pretty obvious from the photo!

I would also like to enter this into -
http://incywincydesigns.blogspot.com/ - recipe, 3 embellishments, 2 papers, 1 image.

Thanks for stopping to take a look :)

A double dose

I've managed to get 2 cards done for challenges today - quite an achievement for me!  I should be getting some scrapbooking done but I'm just not in the mood and I really can't do anything if I try to force myself to do it - "does not respond well to direction" is probably a pretty fair comment from those who know me :)

Anyway the first card is made with a very sweet digi from the wonderful Mo Manning.  I think this is one of my favourites - love her little dungarees!  I wanted to keep to just pinks and browns (do like this colour combo!) as I already had the backing paper picked out and I wanted to keep the embellishments fairly clean and simple.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges -
http://mosdigitalchallenge.blogspot.com/ - Anything goes (with optional sketch)
http://thepinkelephantchallenge.blogspot.com/ - use pink
http://digitaltuesdaychallenge.blogspot.com/ - use pink or red

The second card is one made with one of my own digis, available at  Can You Digi It - he's called What a Wiz! and I did some paper piecing with his robe and hat and coloured the rest of him with Copics.  All the background elements were done with my Silhouette SD - I've had it a couple of years now and am trying to resist upgrading to the fantastic new Silhouette Cameo!  I don't NEED it but I so WANT it!!!

This one is entered for the following  -
http://canyoudigiit.com/blog/ - inspiration from a fairy wonderland
http://thecraftypad.blogspot.com/ - fresh spring colours

As always, thanks for popping by to take a look - hope your day is sunny and bright :)
