Tag it for Christmas!

Hello all!
Hope you had a great weekend - only 3 more until Christmas :)
I managed to get most of my holiday cards done as I have to post so many of them across the Atlantic and like to make sure there's plenty of time for that journey.  I almost forgot about the extra postage for non-regular size cards - I like to make 6"x 6" cards but they cost half as much again to send so I decided to go for something a bit different.

I used my Cameo to merge 2 tag shapes at their tops to make a foldover tag card and then stamped and embossed a Christmas tree image with black embossing powder.  I then inked over the tree with a hot pink and stamped some background text - forgot to mention that I used a torn piece of paper to cover the bottom of the card to keep it white and look like a snow drift (hopefully!).  Finally I added a few gems to the tree and topped the card with some pink bias binding.

Nice and simple and will fit in a regular size envelope!  I would like to put this into the challenges at Visible Image , Addicted to stamps , Corrosive challenges , One stitch at a time and Quirky crafts .

Thanks for stopping by!

The Dormouse had closed its eyes by this time.....

Hello all!
Back with my DT card for the current Octopode Factory challenge which is to get your inspiration from books.  I've always loved books and have been an avid reader from a very early age - I do have a Kindle which is great for travelling but you can't beat having a real book in your hands.

For my card, I decided to use the Octopode Dormouse from the Alice in Wonderland collection, available here.  As I have said before this is my favourite Octopode digi :)  I wanted an old fashioned feel for this card so I used a clipart image of a pile of books and smudged some Distress ink all around the edges.

The sentiment is computer generated and does reflect how I feel about reading!  So many wonderful books and authors out there - sometimes I can get lost in a book for hours (especially if the sun is shining and I can sit outside and read).

With a cherry on top.

Hello all!  Popping in with a quick posting on a card made primarily for the current A day for daisies challenge, which is to use fabric or fibres.  I wanted to keep the colours limited on this as I also wanted to put it in for the current TTCRD challenge as well -  use white plus two other colours.

The image was coloured with my trusty Copics and I happened to have a scrap of red gingham left over from some patchwork cushions I made, which was perfect to add to this card :)
I printed the sentiment myself so feel free to grab it here -

I would also like to enter this card into the following challenges -

Thanks for popping in and I hope you find the sentiment useful :)

Farm fresh!

Hello all!  Yep, back again with another card - must be making up for lost time :)  This time it's a Kenny K digi for the latest challenge which is pennants, banners and bunting.  I had pinned a card some time ago that I loved for the simplicity and style and so I decided to go along those lines too - it's not completely CASE'd, I just went with the feel of it for inspiration.

I did say I was keeping things simple!  Just a kraft background and some cardstock bunting (Cameo print and cut again), the cute image, a strip of ribbon and 4 photo corners - very, very simple.

I would also like to enter this into the following challenges - http://corrosivechallengesbyjanet.blogspot.com/ - cheeky, saucy sassy

Thanks for stopping by - enjoy the rest of your day :)

Parisienne chic

Good morning :)
I'm following up from my London posting by hopping across the English Channel to the very stylish city of Paris!  This is another digi from my latest City stamp set available now at CYDI LilyPink Designs .  I kept it simple and feminine by stamping a background using lilac and grey inks and adding an inked and punched card embellishment.  The digi was lightly coloured with Copics and I dripped a small amount of the Colourless Blender over it to add a worn and distressed feel.

I don't know why it is but images of Paris always seem to have a shabby chic feel to them and with that in mind, I'm entering this card into the following challenges -
