I heart TOFF :)

Hello all!
Back with the first posting of a very busy day for me with DT postings so I hope you don't get sick and tired of seeing me :)
        This one is for The Octopode Factory Friday challenge  (TOFF) and the theme is hearts  - but don't worry, it doesn't have to be a Valentine's card.  If you're like me, you'll have had just about enough of making Valentine's Day cards by now!  I chose to use the extremely glamourous Claudine and must have been channelling the very funny 'Absolutely Fabulous' sitcom with the sentiment.

                            The image was coloured with Copics, the sentiment was computer generated and I added washi tape to the background and on one of the heart cut-outs (all Cameo-d) - the XO sentiment was done with my Brother label-maker.  I had one of these as a child so it does make me smile to be using one on crafting :)

      Putting this into the challenges at - Oozak ,  Art Impressions , Charisma Cardz, Paper Crafting Journey , Crafting by Designs and Crafty Creations .

New, new, new.....

Hello all!
Happy New Year to all - it's been a while since I last posted.................... I've been away from home, visiting family in the UK and I managed to pick up a delightful cold virus which pretty much knocked me off my feet for a while!  Never mind, what would the holiday season be without a bug or two?
                   It's the first Friday of the year so time for a challenge with The Outlawz copic/promarker DT group.  For our first one of the year, we're asking you for something 'new' - new year, new beginnings, new start, new baby, new home - the list goes on and on!

            I decided to use one of my own digis, available from Can You Digi It? - "Mouse Home".  I wanted to make it look like a picture on a wall so I cut a frame using my Cameo and used some wallpaper-like background paper.  The sentiment is computer generated on white cardstock which I scored to make it look like a skirting board or base-board, depending on which side of the ocean you live and I drew the mousehole (I think it works!).

Mr Fix-it

Hello all - back with a quick posting for a card I would like to enter into the current Teddy Bo challenge.  This week you have to make a masculine card and include string and button(s) - I like to keep cards for men as simple as possible but there's nothing wrong with a touch of cuteness too !

This little guy looks like he's ready to tackle anything, even though he does have a slightly worried look on his face.........

In my mind, he's a car mechanic hence the mini licence plate sentiment!  I used my Copics  - I know, huge shock - and also some papers from a Basic Grey kraft 6x6 pad and buttons and twine from my supplies.

Did you see the Olympics opening ceremony the other night?  I thought it was spectacular - I particularly enjoyed the Queen's entrance :)  The fireworks were wonderful and the whole lighting of the flame looked so special - loved it!!  Made me proud to be British and especially coming after the whole fantastic Diamond Jubilee  - sorry, just a bit of patriotic rambling........

Christmas in July!

Well it seems like it's Christmas in July all over web-land at the minute!!  So many challenges are taking up this theme that it all seems very festive - regardless of the scorching heatwave many of us are enduring in the States - and we're no different over at The Outlawz with this Friday's challenge :)

Our sponsor this month is the wonderful Megan of Dillybeans and she has some fabulous Christmas images available to use, along with many other cute and edgy designs.

For my card, I used the 'Snow Family' digi and added a few musical notes and the "Fa la la" on Adobe PSE10.  I coloured it with Copics but went for a zingy, non-traditional colour scheme for a change.

I also added some Stickles for a touch of glitter and a few punched snowflakes with gems - I'm trying to keep the Xmas cards nice and simple this year!

I'm heading off to CHA this Sunday so I'm very excited!!!  I havn't been to Chicago before so it's a double whammy of excitement :D   I'll have some scheduled posts ready for the week but will try and pop in with some news and info if I can.  I'm doing a number of workshops - Altered Art by May Arts, My Little Shoebox, Mix and Match Collage Canvas  - so I'm hoping to come away with lots of inspiration!!!

Bye baby bunting......

Just popping in with a quick card I made for the CMC challenge which is baby themed.  I thought I would keep the colour scheme to non-gender specific so went with yellow.  I was a bit stuck for inspiration but wanted to keep it fairly simple so I just went with a basic rattle shape with a little touch of pearly bling :)

This can also go into the baby challenge at Crafty Creations and Ooh-la-la-creations .

It really is hot here today so I'm a bit drained and havn't got much more to say about this :(
