Waiting for Spring......

Hello all!
After yet another week of snow showers and cold temperatures, I am really in the mood for Spring - right now please!  It seems to be taking forever to get here and my warm week in Las Vegas feels like it was months, not weeks ago.  Still the advantage of not wanting to to go outside into the dreary cold is that it means plenty of indoor time for crafting!  Always a silver lining somewhere :)
I recently coloured up an image that I had been wanting to get to for a long time - the gorgeous "Pearls in my hair" from 'A day for daisies'.   I love the sketchy feel to their images and the DT always comes up with completely fabulous inspiration pieces too.  After I had coloured her, I decided to keep all the focus on the image and made a very CAS card by just matting the image and a printed sentiment and adding a few little sparkles on the side.

I would like to enter her into the challenges at A day for daisies,  QKR stampede,  4 crafty chicks,  Sparkles , Oozak and Addicted to CAS.

Thanks so much for stopping by :)

Going round in circles......

Hello all!
Well I thought I had set this up to be posted but nope, forgot all about it and there it was still in draft form - oops!  Better late than never though so here's my Octopode card for this week's challenge, Circles.   Another CAS card from me this time as I do love to use the The Octopode Factory digis for these because the images are so strong, they really stand out brilliantly on a white background!

I used Sophie and a selection of food images in circles which I popped up with foam to add a bit of depth to the card.  I love the way her eyes are also circles too !  I had a bit of trouble blending in my brown Copics - think I need to do some refilling (not my favourite job!)

I would like to enter this into the following challenges -

Why not head over to the Octopode challenge site and have a go?  You don't have to use an Octopode image but you do get a chance to win some  - as the card says, you knwo you want to......

Thanks for popping in :)

Girls just wanna have fun!

Now that you've got that song stuck in your head I'm sure you won't find it too difficult to guess what the theme for this week's challenge at The Octopode Factory. !!
Yep, it's time to get girly :)  My immediate reaction to a girly theme is to grab some pink and I didn't make an exception this time - get ready for a hit of pink, guaranteed to wake you up!

Meet Jolee, available here and doesn't she suit that tiara?

I mentioned in a previous post that I was keeping it simple when it came to card layouts and this is another example of that - just a simple computer printed sentiment and a mat of hot pink cardstock and the image of course!  Her tiara is just a sticker from my stash but get this, the manufacturer is Jolees - spooky coincidence  (can you hear the Twilight Zone music playing?)

I would like to enter her into the following challenges -

Many thanks for popping in and have a very happy friday!

Pretty in Pink

I'm back with another card and this one has been made using a digi from one of my favourite designers out there - Krista, the very talented artist behind the Saturated Canary digis.  These digis are just way too cute and so enjoyable to colour :)

I wanted to keep this card fairly CAS as I like to see the image - easier said than done as I do have to stop myself from piling on the embellishments!  The top heart was done using the colour blending technique I mentioned in an earlier post - I like the randomness of this technique so have been playing around with it for a while now.

I would like to enter this card for the following challenges -

Here's a close up of the card - just because I really like this one :)  Nice when you're really pleased with your work!

Thanks for popping in and taking a look!
