My Funny Valentine

"My funny Valentine

Sweet comic Valentine,

You make me smile with my heart.

Your looks are laughable,

Unphotographable,

Yet you're my favourite work of art"

I've had this song stuck in my head for days now all down to this little fella!   When I decided to make a Valentine's Day card with him, this song just popped up out of nowhere and that was it!  He's called Pierrot and he's from the wonderful world of The Octopode Factory

I coloured him with a mixture of Copics and Distress Stain - the red being the "fired brick" stain that I dabbed onto an acrylic block and picked up with a paintbrush to colour in the digi.  The paper on the front of the card was just a B&W computer print out of some old fashioned script writing which I inked, stained, splattered and stamped!  The heart shapes were done using my Silhouette SD.

I would like to enter him for the following -

http://sweetnsassydigis.blogspot.com/ - Hats off to you

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful Valentine's Day!!

Pretty in Pink

I'm back with another card and this one has been made using a digi from one of my favourite designers out there - Krista, the very talented artist behind the Saturated Canary digis.  These digis are just way too cute and so enjoyable to colour :)

I wanted to keep this card fairly CAS as I like to see the image - easier said than done as I do have to stop myself from piling on the embellishments!  The top heart was done using the colour blending technique I mentioned in an earlier post - I like the randomness of this technique so have been playing around with it for a while now.

I would like to enter this card for the following challenges -

Here's a close up of the card - just because I really like this one :)  Nice when you're really pleased with your work!

Thanks for popping in and taking a look!
